Experiencing Film

Project Details

In 2006, most elementary school teachers weren’t using film/video for much more than “rainy day recess.” Our team wanted to help them see it as a dynamic, engaging resource for 21st century learners. We raised grant money from the National Geographic Education Foundation; led the “Experiencing Film” project to develop hands-on activities for film/video; and videotaped teachers using the films+activities in local classrooms. Outside evaluators confirmed the effectiveness of the package.
